We believe a manuscript is a room built one shelf at a time, and that the order the shelves went up in is part of what the room turned out to be.

We believe writing stays alive well after the first draft — and that revising, finishing and handing a text to someone else deserve rooms of their own, whether the long thing is a novel, an essay, a screenplay or a run of articles.
